Any dreams that GM may birth a Pontiac Firebird from the new Camaro platform were definitively trampled when the Pontiac brand was killed off earlier this year. On the other hand fear not, T/A fans: graphic designer Kevin Morgan sketched away a modern-day Trans Am & designed a kit to turn your Camaro from Chevrolet blah into Pontiac huzzah.

TransAm Depot plans to unveil a converted auto at the Trans Am Nationals closest this month and initiate selling it a few months consequent. The Phoenix T/A kit includes submerged suspension with an anti-roll bar; 20-inch wheels in gold or silver, wrapped in Pirelli P-Zeros; a new hood, “shaker” scoop, & front fenders; a new rear fascia, spoiler, & taillights; new exhaust tips; aluminium dash and door panels; & gratuitous Trans Am graphics.

The stop result certainly recalls the ‘77-’78 Firebird & Trans Am. No word yet on rating for this kit that brings screaming chickens back to vitality. Of course, the cost will involve that of a new Camaro - nevertheless can you really lay a price tag on nostalgia?
