My Top Five Pet Peeves on the Road

The top five things other drivers do that annoy me.1. If you are not turning then don’t have your blinker on. As simple as this sounds a lot of people have difficulties with it. A lot of my pet peeves are merely annoyances but this one could cause accidents. If I’m sitting at an intersection and I’m waiting for someone that has their
blinker on, I might turn in front of them thinking that they are turning. If they are not turning they could easily rear end me. I prefer not to be rear ended.2. If you are turning and there is a turn lane specifically meant for you, please use it and don’t wait until the end of it to put your vehicle completely into the turn lane. Some people are driving behind you and are going straight. They want to continue driving the speed limit that they have been driving. If they have to slow down because you are slowing down and you won’t move over that might not make them happy. Okay, so it doesn’t make me happy.3. When you are stopped at a red light or stop sign, you don’t have to be afraid of the car in front of you. I don’t expect you to get inches away from them but please don’t put five car lengths between you either.4. A common pet peeve is driving while using a cell phone. I actually don’t mind that too much as long as they can still drive like a relatively intelligent person. Once the car starts swerving or they slow down to a crawl in the fast lane, that’s when I start getting annoyed. If you can’t multitask don’t answer the phone. Even if you can multitask try to keep the phone calls quick. You don’t need to be jabbering on and on about something when you should be concentrating on the road.
