Building on its recent success story in this country, Kia has announced today that it will build the all-new 2011 Sorento crossover at a new facility in West Point, Georgia. A first for the Korean automaker, a plant located in the United States is a big step toward bringing more product into our market and cutting costs.

With the first of the next-generation Sorentos slated to roll off the new assembly line later this year, we’re anxious to see what Kia’s first domestically built vehicle has in store. Until then, we await its debut in Frankfurt and specifics on the U.S.-spec model.
