Volkswagen Releases NMS Teaser Sketch

We’ve seen the spy shots, followed by the initial sketch, and now Volkswagen has let loose a more refined rendering of its U.S.-only four-door. The car VW refers to as the New Mid-size Sedan will be the first product to roll out of the company’s new production facility in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

As we’ve said before, the NMS will likely replace the Passat for North America but it’s unclear whether the Passat name will remain or if the car will get a new badge. The car will be positioned against mid-size heavyweights Accord and Camry and will be part of VW’s push to drastically increase volume in the States. Further details are, ahem, sketchy.
