Is your bone-stock Ferrari 599GTB just not cutting it anymore? Once again, the boys at Novitec Rosso in Germany have come to the rescue with a high(er) performance package for Maranello’s V-12 supercar.

Last year the company spiced up the already hot 599GTB with better suspension, brake bits, and some body upgrades in addition to twin superchargers pushing 6 psi of boost - bumping the car’s output from a rather pedestrian 611 hp to a face-melting 808 horses. But this time around the company has taken a bit of a different path. Rather than focusing the majority of its energy on the powerplant, Novitec Rosso has instead created what seems to be a much more balanced car.

While the newest 599GTB package does get a moderate power bump to 660 hp - thanks to upgraded engine electronics and a trick exhaust system - the majority of the modifications take place on the body and suspension. As with the last version, the new car gets an upgraded front lip, rear diffuser, and rocker panels to help with aerodynamics, as well as the company’s characteristic blacked-out taillights. (It’s also worth noting that Novitec will sell you any of its body panels in clear-coated carbon fiber.)

A set of three-piece, double-spoke wheels have been added to the car, as have a number of other small touches that give the 599 an even more aggressive appearance overall. Fully-adjustable suspension, as with the last version, is included, but gains a Gallardo-esque feature that raises the front of the car 40 millimeters for traversing speed bumps and ramps. The package is rounded-off on the inside with a leather-and-carbon-fiber steering wheel, aluminum pedals and foot rest, and the option for custom-tailored seating.

Although the Ferrari 599GTB is more than satisfactory in stock guise - at least in our book - it’s hard to deny the sheer awesomeness of Novitec’s latest creation.
