Do you intend to sell your property? If you are planning to put your property on sale, HIP packs are a compulsory document required. It conveys factual information about any property or house. It is useful to have your HIP handy even before you think of selling it. It is not a mere marketing copy used to sell. It minimises any delay or extra expense to both the buyer as well as the seller.
There is a property information questionnaire made available, known as PIQ. The HIP may also incorporate two seller’s questionnaire forms - Home Contents Form and Home Use Form. A landlord need not pay any charges for a HIP, but he will be charged for sending the copies home. Such documents must be issued three months before the date on which the property was put for sale.

HIP packs contain documents that provide the buyer with vital information about the home and must be provided by the seller or the estate agent. An energy performance certificate is another vital document that is present with in the HIP, known popularly as EPC. Its purpose is to record how energy-efficient a property is as a building.
