Ford Fiesta Wins X Games Rally

Carson, California, was the location for all things extreme this weekend, from motocross to skateboarding at X Games 15. On Sunday, three modified Ford Fiestas dominated the rally competition.

The three Fords finished first, third, and fourth overall. The first place car was driven by Kenny Brack, who retired from Indy car racing in 2005. Second place went to 2008 X Games champion Travis Pastrana, driving a Subaru WRX STI. Fiesta drivers Tanner Foust and Brian Deegan were third and fourth, respectively.

The Fiesta rally cars are heavily modified versions of the Euro subcompact with 450 turbocharged horsepower. If and when the Fiesta reaches American shores, it’ll make significantly less power but should be more fuel efficient.
