Without it, it has a combined figure of 25.5 MPG.The Toyota Prius has become a huge sensation in the United States as one of the most fuel efficient vehicles. It has a combined fuel mileage of 46 MPG. In the United Kingdom, however, the Toyota Prius is far superior with a combined fuel mileage of 60 MPG.The United Kingdom, like the rest of Europe, has enjoyed the compact Smart for over a decade. The Smart car has finally become available in the United States; however, many versions of the Smart car are not yet available, such as the Forfour and Roadster. The Smart Fortwo in the US has a combined fuel mileage of 36 MPG. The UK now offers a Smart Fortwo diesel which can reach a whopping 71 MPG!When comparing these figures, one can not help but ask, “Why can we not avail of these fuel efficient vehicles?” My answer is, “Why not?”
