believed the MX-5 Miata could out gun seven of these other cars. So,
what does this sleeper of a car have to offer?

Concerning the comparison, the Mazda did not outperform the others
regarding acceleration or top speed. But for the money and considering
all of the car’s attributes and abilities, it was near the top of the pack.

Its 0-60 time was 6.7 seconds, and its 60-0 stops took 120 feet. These
are only fair numbers in the company of the others. However, the testers
felt that the MX-5 Miata could be driven at 9/9th full throttle 99 percent
of the time. Thus, the “fun factor” for the buck was highly rewarding.
Add to this Mazda’s reputation for quality and reliability and only a couple
of other cars could indeed better it.

The 2009 Mazda MX-5 Miata - a real driver’s car that is a blast to drive
without its owner taking much of a financial risk. A 2010 Mazda MX-5
Miata is priced at about $21,000.
