Aon Poland acquires Progres

Aon has announced that Aon Poland has acquired Dom Brokerski Progres S.A. and Progres Services Sp z.o.o., one of the market leaders in the automotive brokerage sector in Poland.

Together the combined entity will be one of the largest insurance brokers in the country, however, financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.

Aon Central and Eastern Europe CEO Onno Janssen has explained that the acquisition is part of the firm’s strategic objective to become the largest brokerage firm in Poland.

Aon enlarged its presence in Poland last year with its entry into the reinsurance market with Aon Re Polska.

Aon has had a presence in the country since 1992, and its latest move will enable to increase its purchasing power and expand the scope of its services on offer.

Aon Poland CEO Slawomir Bany has stated that acquiring Progres would give the firm unmatched expertise in motor insurance and fleet management services.
